About me
I am an astrophysics PhD candidate at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), affiliated with both the Department of Physics and Laboratory for Space Research. My primary thesis supervisor is Prof. Quentin A. Parker.
I have completed my undergraduate studies in physics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I earned my B.Sc. degree in 2012. After that, I have obtained a M.Phil. (equivalently to a M.Sc. by research) degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2016, learning about dark matter phenomenology research in the process.
Research interests
Late-stage stellar evolution (with an emphasis on PNe), photoionization modeling of PNe using Cloudy and Mocassin, machine learning (ML) as applied to nebular diagnotics, integral field spectroscopy (IFS), MHD problems involving PNe, and studies of interstellar medium (ISM) in general.
